RE:   1.  2018 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING NEGOTIATIONS

2. AGREEMENT WITH ZESA HOLDINGS AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES 2019 INTERIM AWARD

We refer to the above matters and advise as follows:

1. We advise that parties met today 23 July 2019 at the NEC whereupon the Energy Industry Employers Association marginally increased its offer on basic pay, canteen and transport allowances to 7%.  We further advise that an agreement was reached in terms of the offer.
2. We further advise that Zesa Holdings and its subsidiary companies made an offer for an interim award on 2019 basic pay of 15% without prejudice to the 2019 collective bargaining negotiations.  The interim award shall however be taken into account when parties conclude the 2019 collective bargaining negotiations. The employers have undertaken to pay both awards through the July 2019 payroll.
