Closure of 2019 Collective Bargaining Negotiations – 24 January 2020

 RE: CLOSURE OF 2019 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING NEGOTIATIONS

We refer to the above matter and advise that parties met at the NEC today in pursuit of closure of negotiations.

Two (2) agreements arose from the engagement.

1. An Energy Industry wide agreement in terms of which employees are awarded 120% increase on basic pay with effect from 1 December 2019.
2. A Zesa and Subsidiary Companies agreement in terms of which employees are awarded an additional 30% increase on basic pay over and above the Energy Industry increase of 120%.  (This means that Zesa employees get a total increase of 150% with effect from 1 December 2019).

Having closed the 2019 collective bargaining negotiations we now want to move on to 2020 CBN without further delay. 

Kindly file your inputs for the 2020 CBN with the Secretary General urgently.
