Outcome of NEC deliberations on 2012 CBA ZESA dispute – 23 January 2020

 RE:  OUTCOME OF NEC DELIBERATIONS ON 2012 CBA ZESA DISPUTE

We advise that parties met at the NEC today in respect of the above matter.

Zesa submitted that it seeks to bring finality to the dispute by way of an out of court settlement. It then elicited the Unions’ expectations. The Unions submitted they expected Zesa to comply with the 2012 CBA in terms of applying correct salary scales of 275usd at A1 as opposed to A3 and payment of the attendant salary arrears arising from the implementation of the correct salary scale.

Zesa then submitted that they are currently calculating the figures involved which shall be tabled at the NEC without further delay.  Meanwhile parties agreed that the 2019 CBN shall be concluded tomorrow at 2:00 pm.
