RE: UPDATE ON 2018 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING NEGOTIATIONS

We refer to the above matter and advise that parties met at the NEC in Harare on the 26th of June 2019.  No agreement was reached and the matter was adjourned to 2 July 2019 for the third and final meeting.

The following were parties’ last positions:

ITEMS/DESCRIPTION UNIONS EMPLOYERS
Basic pay @ A1 645 USD 2.5% increase
Housing Allowance Status quo Status quo
Non-Pensionable Allowance Status quo Status quo
Transport Allowance 200 USD 0%
Canteen Allowance 210 USD 0%
Inflation Adjustment 40% 0%

The Unions interest is that we quickly dispense with 2018 so that we deal with 2019 without further delay.

Please revert to the undersigned for any clarification.

Regards

T. Masvingwe

Secretary General
