SUBJECT: UPDATE ON ARBITRATION PROCESS:  2022 CBN DISPUTE

We advise that parties appeared before Hon Mudiwa as previously advised.

The employer party applied for postponement of the matter in order to get full instructions from the client. Accordingly a new roadmap was agreed as follows:

  • 3 January 2023. Respondent files statement of defense

(The Unions had already filed statement of Claim and Submissions)

  • 5 January 2023. Claimant replicates.
  • 6 January 2023. Parties appear for final hearing
  • 11 January 2023. Arbitrator issues award

We hope the matter shall be brought to finality without further delay

Regards
