Update on ZESA salary scale rationalisation dispute – 04 March 2011

SUBJECT: UPDATE  ON  ZESA SALARY  SCALE  RATIONALISATION  DISPUTE

We refer to the above matter and advise that parties appeared before the Arbitrator Honourable Mr Kabasa on the 2^nd of February 2011, and Zesa was ordered to submit the schedule of salary scales for the Zimbabwe Dollar era and the current US dollar salary scale. The Honourable Arbitrator seeks to identify and compare the differentials between steps and grades in the Zimbabwe Dollar era and the current US dollar salary scale. The deadline for submission is 4^th of February 2011. Parties shall then appear again before the Honourable Arbitrator next week at a date to be advised by the Arbitrator.

We hope this matter shall be resolved expeditiously.
